Adobe Illustrator was expensive and not as easy to use as Corel Draw. Candy Apple, I thought was pretty good but none of the them came anywhere close to what I was looking for. There was Vector Designer, Inkscape and recently I tried out Candy Apple. I did try out a number of vector graphics applications for Mac. After leaving Windows, I had no desire to mess about with having Windows on my Mac. I was disappointed there wasn’t a Mac version of Corel Draw and their only suggestion was to use the Windows version in a virtual machine. I was an expert user of Corel Draw having used it on a daily basis for 12 years and I’d never been tempted to try using Adobe Illustrator. It has taken a long time to find the Best Adobe Illustrator alternative Due to my background in art and design and having a business as a signwriter, I wanted to have a good application for vector art. I moved to the Mac from Windows about eight or nine years ago now.
